As stipulated in its bylaws, the FCAP Board of Director positions are 3-year terms and begin on July 1st.  The Board of Directors membership level is capped at 11 members.  The FCAP Board meets monthly per conference call on the third Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m; except for once a year when the Board holds its annual meeting and convenes in person at a time and date mutually agreeable to the Board membership.  Active participation is expected of all board members as the FCAP Board is a working volunteer board.

Vacancy: Executive Director


  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for the FCAP
  • Advocacy with the legislators on behalf of the FCAP
  • Recruitment and retention of the state-wide membership
  • Meet annually with all clinics in the state as well as potential members
  • Coordinate Board meetings
  • Plan and facilitate annual FCAP conference and other special events as necessary
  • Research and submit applications to grant opportunities
  • Investigate and pursue new funding avenues to sustain the mission of the organization
  • Update and maintain the FCAP website and other social media platforms
  • Collaborate with other pertinent organizations including the states’ free clinic organizations and the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics
  • Prepare and monitor the annual budget
  • Oversight of the financials
  • Provide board support as needed
  • Offer networking opportunities for free clinics throughout the state
  • Other duties as necessary


  • Strong public relations, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Pennsylvania’s healthcare landscape
  • Research and apply for applicable grants. Collect data and handle reporting per grant requirements.
  • Fundraising experience necessary to sustain the organization
  • Financial management experience
  • Must possess 5 years of experience in business, healthcare, public policy or nonprofit administration
